Amy Adams, APRN is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She completed her undergraduate degree at Wichita State University in 2007. After 11 years of psychiatric nursing experience in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services, she returned to school to pursue her master’s degree and graduated from Maryville University in 2021. As an APRN, she has worked primarily in community mental health and has a passion for helping underserved populations. She takes pride in her ability to build meaningful connections with her patients and strives to create a safe, nonjudgemental place to heal. She is very deliberate in her decisions, gathering a thorough history and reviewing treatment options with her patients to ensure the best possible outcomes. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in the area of Treatment-Resistant Depression at Kansas Mental Health Medicine. She provides medication management at both KMHM and South Central Mental Health Counseling Center.
