Ericka Purcell

Ericka Purcell, MS, LCMFT is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in Music Therapy and her graduate degree from Friends University in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Ericka has spent the majority of her career (20+ years) working with children, adolescents, and families in various settings including psychiatric residential treatment and a child advocacy center.  She has dedicated her career to trauma work, focusing on helping individuals heal from childhood and intergenerational trauma.  Ericka strives to make a unique connection with each individual, meeting them where they are in the moment and establishing a safe environment for them to establish and accomplish their personal goals for therapy.  Ericka is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (PSB-CBT).  She utilizes a blend of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Experiential, Client Centered, Emotion Focused, IFS, Narrative, and ACT.  Ericka is excited to be a part of the team at KMHM and looks forward to expanding her therapeutic practice into working with treatment resistant depression, severe anxiety, and PTSD.
